Library Mission
The mission of the CCEO Library and Information Centre is to support the educational and outreach endeavours of the college by providing information resources and services to staff and students of the Caledonian College of Engineering community.
Vision
To make CCEO Library a centre of excellence to support and to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and research activities at the college.

Code of Conduct for Students

Library users should remember that the library is a place
of study. They are required to obey any instruction from
the library staff to maintain a quiet positive working
atmosphere in the library. (Refer College Rules: Student
Code of Conduct – Rule No.2.0.2 and 2.0.8)

Your GSM should be switched off or it should be kept
in silent mode inside the library. (Refer College Rules:
Student Code of Conduct – Rule No.2.2.7 )

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the library.

Library users must produce their College Identity Card
whenever it is asked by library staff. (Refer College
Rules: Student Code of Conduct – Rule No.2.4)

Tearing, marking, highlighting or damaging library materials
in any way is strictly prohibited.

Students are liable for the cost replacement of any library
resources caused by loss, damage etc.

Quiet Study Area (On the right side of entrance): It
is strictly for individual study. Group Discussions, usage
of GSM and talking should be avoided in this area

Quiet Study Area-Group (On the left side of entrance):
Discussion is allowed in this area only for study purposes.
Students should discuss in low voice to avoid disturbance
to fellow users.

Non-adherence to any of the rules or any other malpractice
by any member will involve withdrawal of library facilities.

Rules for Borrowing Library Books

The students may borrow a maximum of three books at a
time for a period of two weeks. Books will be issued to
the students only on production of their identity card.

Special Part Time Students may borrow a maximum of four
books. Books will be issued on the basis of their leave
schedule.

Students are required to ensure that the issued books
are in good condition before leaving the counter. In case
of any damage, the students should immediately inform
the library staff about the condition of the books.

Students are required to return the library books on
or before the due date mentioned in the book, any delay
in returning the book will be charged at the rate of Fifty
baiza per book per day.

Books due on a holiday can be returned without fine on
the next working day.

Books may be renewed, if that particular book is not
reserved by any other member.

Students may reserve the books, which are currently issued
to other members. The students will be informed once the
books are available for issue.

The reserved books will be kept for three days after
informing the students. If the books are not borrowed
within the three days, they will be issued to another
student, who is having next priority.

Students may borrow reference material on short loan
(Overnight issue) basis.

Borrowers shall on no account lend books to others. Library
tickets are not transferable.
Presently 40 computers are available with an Internet connection.
In addition students can access the Internet from other locations.
Access times are from 9.00 a.m. to 8.15 p.m. from Saturday
to Wednesday and 09.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Thursdays.
