Guidelines to candidates applying for Credit Transfer at CCEO
1. Who should apply for Credit Transfer?
Students with prior qualification from a Higher Education Institution or successful completion of part of studies can apply for Credit Transfer. The acceptance of application for credit transfer will be subject to ascertaining the status of the Institution studied as equivalent to Higher Educational Institution.
2. When do I apply?
If you have applied for admission to a programme at CCEO, you can apply for credit transfer of modules in that programme after you have accepted the offer letter given by the College. The application for credit transfer shall normally be made within 3 days of your acceptance to the offer given by the College. Application for credit transfer can be made only once and should be made before the start of studies. All formalities related to credit transfer must be completed within 2 weeks of commencement of studies.
3. How do I apply?
- Collect the credit transfer application form from Admission and Registry Office
- Fill in the form and attach all relevant documents as mentioned in section 4
- Submit your application at the Admission and Registry Office within 3 days of your acceptance to the offer given by the College.
- Please note that only applications that are completely filled and supported by all documentary evidence (as mentioned in section 4) will be further processed.
4. What documentary evidence do I need to submit along with credit transfer application?
In order to ensure that your application is processed in time for your enrolment, it is essential that your application for credit transfer includes:
- Attested copy of Official Transcript (transcript must have Institution seal and signature)
- Full Syllabus/attested copies of the modules for which credit transfer is sought
- Attested copy of award certificate(If you have completed the programme and obtained the Award)
5. What is the next procedure after submission of application?
You will be required to meet the Admission Tutor (member of the staff assigned by the department to review the syllabus and who makes initial scrutiny) of the concerned academic department for verification/confirmation of eligibility for Credit Transfer.
6. How and when will I be notified?
After completing all formalities of credit transfer and obtaining internal approvals, you will be officially informed by the Admission and Registry office most likely within 2 weeks from the date of submission of the application.
Note: CCEO will not consider Credit Transfer if the applicant’s grade for the module for which the credit transfer sought is low.
