Admissions

Admissions to the various programmes offered by the college is open to students of all nationalities. Admission to the College is offered through the Higher Education admission centre of Ministry of Higher Education. Students can directly apply to the college in such case the admission will be given to such students based on the assessment test.

Students seeking admission to Caledonian College of Engineering are offered admission to Two semester foundation, if qualified as per entry criteria. An assessment test will be conducted within two weeks after students register with the college and based on the performance in the assessment test student will be either given direct entry to Engineering programmes or undergo one semester foundation or continue with the two semester foundation.

Eligibility for Admission:

Students seeking admission to all engineering programmes must posses a Thanawia Amma School Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.

However mature students who do not posses normal entry qualifications may be considered under current general University and Ministry regulations for mature students

Mature Students Entry

Based on the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Higher Education for the mature students, applicants of age 25 and above but below 45, with minimum of 6 years work experience and have completed 9 years of school with pass, are eligible to enter into the programme at appropriate level provided that they demonstrate satisfactory performance in all sections of the College entrance test and obtain the approval from Ministry of Higher Education regarding their admission
