Industry Advisory Board

The Caledonian College of Engineering (CCEO) is dedicated and committed to contributing to human resource development through innovation, research and technological advancement in order to serve the community. Therefore, the College recognizes the importance of industry and academia engagement and seeks advice and input from various employers and industries on academic programmes and curriculum.

CCE encourages multi-faceted relationships with industry, and commerce in Oman along with professional bodies.  One of the main important mechanisms to receive input on   strategies of academic development of the college in view of social, economic and industrial growth of Oman and graduate attributes is the Industry Advisory Board.   IAB is established to provide inputs on and advice on CCE’s courses and programmes

Aim

To provide advice on the course content of CCE’s academic programmes, based on the needs of industry and employment prospects

Mission

To obtain expert advice on syllabus from employers that is receptive to the needs of industry

Vision

To align CCE’s curriculum and courses to meet the changing needs of industry

Objectives

  • To advise on the educational objectives of CCE’s programmes
  • To give independent and expert views on the curriculum and courses offered
  • To advise on academic facilities and infrastructure, including laboratories, required to support best practice in learning and teaching
  • To advise and assist in achieving the professional accreditation of CCE’s programmes
