| Essential Qualifications
E Business
It is expected that candidates for admission will apply with
a first degree in a business/management/computing area with
significant CIT/IS skills.

Graduates who posses a first degree, at upper second
class honours degree and above, in a business/management/CIT/
Computing areas;

Appropriate professional work experience
International Students
International students whose first language in not English
shall normally be required to demonstrate evidence of satisfactory
competence by holding one of the following recognised qualifications;
British Council International English Language Testing
Service (IELTS) test with an overall score of 6.0
Test in English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL Test) with
a minim score of 550 with a written English test score of
a minimum of a 4.5
Computer based test in English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL) with a minimum score of 213.
Non Standard Entry
Candidates with non-standard entry will be considered. Evidence
of satisfactory knowledge of the foundation subjects through
the procession of an appropriate qualification, training,
or work experience will be required.
The University’s APL and APEL guidelines will be used
and followed, to ensure transparency. This will be undertaken
by GCU tutors. Reference should be made to the University
guidelines for Accreditation of Prior Learning as approved
by Senate in March 2004. The programme will follow procedures
as detailed in section 7 of the Glasgow Caledonian University
Guidelines for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
