These labs aim to develop in the student:

• The need for ordered experimental procedures and an understanding of the measurement techniques.

• The ability to manipulate and critically evaluate results in light of the measurement accuracy and tolerance.

• The ability to correlate the practical results with predicted results and to account for any discrepancies through analysis.

• The ability to produce structured laboratory reports with independent thought being applied to draw conclusions from the results obtained.

• To develop skills to understand and practically find a solution to open-ended tasks.
