1. Mechanics Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with various equipments relevant
to the areas of statics, applied mechanics, fluid mechanics
and thermo-dynamics to meet the practical requirements of
modules related to mechnaics.

laboratory:

2. Mechatronics Lab-1 (Pneumatic
Lab)
This laboratory is equipped with necessary pneumatic and
electro-pneumatic, PLC kits to demonstrate and study the discrete
controlled motion of the mechanical components. This laboratory
is equipped as per the practical work prescribed in the module
Mechatronics and Engineering Practice.
The facilities in this lab are also extended to cater the
practical needs in the area of Programmable Logic Controllers,
transducers & instrumentation.

Laboratory
This laboratory is used for organizing various experiments
needed for meeting core modules of Computer Aided Mechanical
Engineering. The testing facilities relevant to the field
of simple mechanisms and machines , Linear and non linear
motion, forced and free vibrations, properties of materials
and metrology, photo elasticity are available. The practical
under the modules, Engineering Science, Engineering Design
and Engineering Practice, are organized in this laboratory.

5. CAD/CAM Laboratory
This laboratory provides the practical training in Computer
Aided Mechanical Engineering to the students for the development
of skills in drafting, 2D and 3D surface & solid modeling
using AutoCAD 2000 & Mechanical Desktop, PRO/E, design
and analysis with the help of FEM (Design Space), & ANSYS,
HYSYS (Process Design Simulation), Robot simulation packages
etc. The CAD Lab also extends the facility for software solutions
in the area of Piping Design and Drafting with CADWorx. The
modules which need the usage of the lab for training are Computer
Aided Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Design
Principles, Engineering Design and Project Studies.

7. Workshop
The workshop is equipped mainly with conventional machines
(Lathe, Milling, Shaping, Drilling and Hacksaw cutting) and
other facility with fitting and tin smithy section. The exercises
and practicals corresponding to the modules namely Engineering
Practice, Manufacture and Materials-I&II and Project Studies
are being organized in the workshop.
