| The College believes that sports and recreation play important roles in building character. Such activities while providing relaxation and recreation also create opportunities to enhance leadership skills, encourage teamwork and instigate planning and strategies to overcome challenges, sportsmanship and fair play all of which qualities one needs in day to day life.
Soccer: While participating in inter-college/university tournaments, the college also conducts a league and a knockout tournament for students, phased out over the two semesters. The league takes place in semester A and the Knockout Championship is played towards the latter half of semester B. The College is well equipped with a floodlit football field and also a soccer quintet’s pitch. The services of a professional coach encourage many students to try out their skills under able guidance and tutelage.
Basketball: A full-fledged basketball court also provides students opportunities to take part in basketball. While engaging in games with other colleges, an inter-department tournament also attracts many players. The services of a professional coach are also available and training takes place thrice a week.
Volleyball: Volleyball too has gained in popularity and the available of a tarmac court provides ample opportunities for students to engage in this game. Here too, engaging in games with other colleges and an inter-department tournament attracts many players.
Table-Tennis: Regular inter-department tournaments are held in the college hall. The formation of a college team is also being looked into.
Badminton: While not being very popular, facilities are available for badminton in the college hall and an inter-department tournament encourages participation especially among the inter-national students.
